Pastoral Council
The existence of Pastoral Councils is mandated by Diocesan policy.  The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to advise the Pastor on spiritual and ministerial matters that effect and affect the parish community. The Pastoral Council consists of approximately 8 people including a representative from Sacred Heart and St. Stanislaus parishes, with the rest of the council from St. Simon.  Membership on the council is for a 3-year period with a possible renewal of 3 years at the discretion of the Pastor.  Those seeking to become members of the Pastoral Council or parishioners who believe someone should be considered members of the council should make this known to the Pastor so that an annual selection process can take place.

Finance Council
Finance councils are mandated by Canon Law.  The purpose of these councils is to advise the pastor on all matters regarding finances and other material assets.  The finance council will also need to advise the pastor on matters of stewardship.  The councils from each of our parishes consists of 5-8 members.  Membership on the councils should be for a period of 3 years with a possible extension of another 3 years at the discretion of the pastor.  Anyone wishing to become a member of the finance council or any parishioner who believes someone should be considered should contact the Pastor so an annual selection process can take place.
